Steelcrete
< BackFirth Steelcrete® uses steel fibres to enhance the toughness of precast concrete elements while improving durability and eliminating the problem of accurately fabricating and locating complex reinforcing steel cages. Firth Steelcrete® precast concrete applications include pipes and drainage products, tunnel linings, security vaults and other one piece precast buildings.
- Can eliminate or reduce secondary reinforcement in many structural precast applications.
- Ideally suited to thin walled sections which can be proportioned based on strength requirements rather than minimum concrete cover.
- Concrete spalling due to corrosion of reinforcing bars is eliminated making precast the ideal solution in corrosive environments.
- Corners and edges are reinforced with fibres minimising cracking and chipping due to transport or rough handling.
Firth Steelcrete® Shotcrete eliminates the need for mesh in tunnel linings, slope stabilisation and retaining walls. The ductile behaviour of Steelcrete Shotcrete enables it to sustain load while undergoing significant deformation due to ground movements.
Firth Steelcrete® floors and pavements provide enormous benefits to the contractor in speed and simplicity of construction.
