Years on...and still looking good

Over the years Firth has had a hand in the creation of many of the Hawkes Bay's favourite wineries supplying product to some of the loveliest spots in the region.

Elephant Hill winery (built in 2008) features an impressive vaulted, concave ceiling which required more than 500m3 of standard 30MPa super plasticised concrete with 19mm aggregate. The unusual wood-grain finish was created by pouring the concrete over rough sawn Radiata Pine which was then peeled off, once the concrete had dried, to reveal the textured effect.  The main entrance to the building features coloured concrete against the vibrant coloured exterior.

Craggy Hill Winery (built in 2002) included the use of vast numbers of Firth Roma Cream Sands pavers in the main entrance/driveway and the rear of the complex around the luscious, peaceful gardens of the estate. Firth Roma Cream Sands perfectly complements the raw materials used in the main structure.

Selini Winery (established in the late 1990's) produced its first vintage in 1998 and features an impressive entrance to the estate with pillars of river stone held together with Firth concrete. The parking area features Firth cobblestone which complements the colouring of this lovely Hawkes Bay winery.
