The redevelopment of Claudelands, Hamilton's multi dimensional events complex, is progressing well with the roof almost in place on what will be the largest building in the region. Firth has been supplying self compacting concrete to the site including the front wall of the building which has been sand blasted to create lines and texture in the concrete.

The two new towers on Willis and Boulcott Street in Wellington, Telecom's new head office, are almost complete. The project commenced in early 2009 and has seen Firth working closely alongside Hawkins, the main contractor, and also Aardvark Concrete Services who have provided the high-rise pumping expertise. The Centre will include an Acute Hub and a Sterile Supplies Unit. The main Emergency Department is being constructed by Fletcher Construction and is enclosed and well on its way to completion. Product update - Dricon Culvert Bags

Dricon® Culvert Bags are the stop-gap to your concrete and masonry needs. The mixture hardens once exposed to water and the elements, while the biodegradable paper bag gently breaks down to reveal the set concrete within. This innovation facilitates an easier construction method than the use of traditional ready-mixed concrete or masonry and a greater flexibility with design.
Dricon® Culvert Bags come in 25kg paper bags for easy maneuverability and can be used for: culverts, non-structural retaining walls, erosion control, bridge abutments, gabions, track stabilisation and farm support. For more information
