The alpine village of Hanmer Springs is just a 90-minute drive north of Christchurch and has just had $2 million spent on upgrading its centre. Work on the enhancements began earlier in the year and has included new street lighting and paving.
"The Hurunui District Council originally intended to use a non-Firth paver so I showed them the Firth range and the new PaveWare® product range," said Hans Kreisel, Director of Kreisel Contracting "I was able to save the Council around $40,000 by using Firth's standard Holland® Paver and their new 100 x 100 x 80mm Holland® Setts paver. It is a great interlocking paver which lays well and can still be laid in a herringbone pattern."
PaveWare® is the new paving range for the urban designer for use in commercial applications and municipal upgrades. The bespoke paving range includes 60mm, 80mm and Kerb units.
