Firth has developed an environmental sustainability plan to address three key areas:
- Improving environmental systems and compliance by developing automated email environmental reporting; managing consents with CSVUE software and investigating the use of COGNOS for environmental data collection and reporting.
- Communication and engagement in environmental sustainability by regular updates on environmental performance by site against production and the appointment of environmental representatives at each site to improve communication lines.
- Sustainable resource use enabling reduction in the environmental costs of doing business by improving data collection and reporting, reducing energy use and developing initiatives to reduce waste.
